Depending on which wavelength is used, light therapy can increase collagen & elastin production & boost cellular regeneration, reduce fine lines & wrinkles, decrease pigmentation & even skin tone, minimize pores & smooth skin texture, eradicate acne causing bacteria and minimize scarring.

Previously available only by doctors in clinical settings or medical spas, the efficacy of light therapy has long been recognized in the medical community and regularly used & trusted by dermatologists and beauty practitioners alike.

No UV light is emitted during LED therapy, so there is no risk of sunburn or skin cancer. This treatment has no adverse effects and requires no down-time. The FDA classifies LED devices as possessing “non-significant risk”; they are entirely safe and possess no possibility of harm from over-exposure. We recommend speaking to your doctor first if you have any skin conditions, you are pregnant, have epilepsy or photo-allergies or are taking any medications that may cause light sensitivity. The only safety precaution is to protect the eyes during treatment; both patient and practitioner are required to wear protective eye coverings.

Light therapy is a completely painless, non-invasive and praised as a holistic treatment therapy. The patient requires zero down-time after treatment, and can resume normal activities immediately.

Treatment schedule vary patient to patient depending on the severity of pain or skin condition. A typical treatment plan would be 1-2 times a week for several weeks, and then weekly or monthly maintenance thereafter; again, depending on the condition.

Light therapy stimulates your own cells natural healing and collagen production, so the most visible results are not immediate, however the skin can have an immediate visible improvement after just the first treatment. The results are cumulative, so the more consistent and committed you are to your treatment regimen, the better your results will be. For example, acne scars and scars from other types of injuries can start to improve in as little as two weeks, and should gradually fade over time with continued use.

Light therapy will have the greatest impact on aging & mature skin types where cells have a decreased metabolism and slowed cellular activity, however it can be used on all skin types, colors and a wide spectrum of age ranges to treat a variety of skin conditions from acne to hyperpigmentation.

No. LEDs do not emit UV wavelengths, so they do not cause sun burn or skin cancer.

There are not enough studies on the use of light therapy on tattoos, so the effects are not yet known. We recommend covering any exposed tattoos to protect them from any unforeseen reaction to the light therapy.
